Anna Akechi est une élève de quatrième qui vit à Makoto Mirai Town. Le jour de son 14e anniversaire, elle fait la rencontre fortuite d'une fée nommée Pochitan, et un pendentif magique la fait voyager dans le temps, de 2027 à 1999 ! Dans la ville de Makoto Mirai, 28 ans plus tôt, Anna rencontre Mikuru Kobayashi, une fille de son âge qui souhaite devenir une grande détective.
Pendant ce temps, les habitants de la ville sont en difficulté car leurs biens les plus précieux sont volés sous leur nez, par un groupe de voleurs fantômes. Pour les arrêter, Anna et Mikuru se transforment en Precures ! Peut-être qu'en résolvant le mystère du pendentif, elles pourront empêcher le vol des biens des habitants et retrouver leur ville d'origine.
Pendant ce temps, les habitants de la ville sont en difficulté car leurs biens les plus précieux sont volés sous leur nez, la cause étant un groupe de voleurs fantômes. Pour les arrêter, Anna et Mikuru se transforment en Precures ! Peut-être qu'en résolvant ces mystères, Anna pourra retrouver le chemin de son époque ?
